Getting Started

Install the app, accept T&Cs, grant permissions, choose the Default Event, sign in to sync, and test recording before your first live event.

What It Does

Getting started prepares BoothIt for event-day capture, cloud upload, QR sharing, and guest delivery.

When To Use It

Use this flow before your first event, after installing on a new phone, or when onboarding an operator.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Install BoothIt on the event phone.
  2. Open Setup and accept BoothIt T&Cs.
  3. Grant camera, microphone, storage, and media permissions.
  4. Use the Default Event or create a new event.
  5. Sign in to sync events and cloud uploads.
  6. Record a short test video and confirm it appears in the gallery.

Common Issues

  • Permissions missing: reopen Setup and grant all required permissions.
  • Sync unavailable: check internet and sign-in status.
  • Test recording missing: check storage permission and local gallery.

Quick Tips

  • Run one full QR test before guests arrive.
  • Keep the Default Event available for quick testing.
  • Confirm battery, storage, and network before the booth opens.
